About Me

Hi there, and welcome to JuicyRecipes!

I’m Emy Santi Maria, a 41-year-old home cook, mom of two amazing kids, wife to my best friend of 23 years, and the heart (and hands!) behind this cozy little corner of the internet. Whether you’ve landed here searching for the perfect weeknight dinner or a comforting dessert to bake on a Sunday afternoon, I’m so glad you stopped by.

How it All Began

Cooking has been my love language for as long as I can remember. Growing up, the kitchen was the center of everything—warm, a little chaotic, and always filled with the smell of something delicious simmering away. Now, as a wife and mom, that tradition lives on in our home. Whether I’m experimenting with new ingredients or recreating family favorites, my greatest joy is gathering people around the table and seeing them light up with that first bite.

JuicyRecipes was born out of that passion—and a little push from my husband, who kept saying, “You should really share these with more people.” So, here I am, sharing the recipes that have brought joy to my family with the hope they’ll do the same for yours.

My Kitchen, My Happy Place

I believe food should be joyful, comforting, and full of flavor—not overly complicated or intimidating. Here on JuicyRecipes, you’ll find:

  • Simple, family-friendly meals with ingredients you can actually pronounce
  • A mix of traditional recipes with a modern twist
  • Time-saving tips for busy home cooks
  • Occasional sweet indulgences (because life is short!)

As a mom who juggles school runs, homework help, and laundry mountains, I get it—mealtime can be stressful. But it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to make cooking feel fun and achievable, even on the craziest days.

A Little More About Me…

When I’m not in the kitchen, you’ll probably find me out on a morning run (my other big passion). Running keeps me centered and clears my head—kind of like therapy, but with sweat. It’s also where I come up with some of my best recipe ideas!

I also love slow mornings with coffee, good books, and Sunday breakfasts that turn into brunches.

One quote that’s guided me through life, both in the kitchen and out, is:

“Do small things with great love.” – Mother Teresa

Whether I’m packing lunchboxes or testing a new pasta bake, I truly believe the love you put in shows up in every bite.
